Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Went to games at County Stadium with my dad and my childhood friends. My first favorite baseball player was "The Boomer", George Scott. Started following baseball and collecting baseball cards in 1974 (Robin Yount's rookie year). Played little-league baseball, high-school baseball for Milwaukee Pulaski, county-minor and county major baseball. Had two professional tryouts with the Cubs and the Reds. Snuck down to the front row of game 5 against the California Angels in the 1982 playoffs. I was one of the first fans to reach the pitchers mound for the World Series celebration (Blue-Windbreaker and floppy blond hair).
