Moving On: Aquino Claimed

Greg Aquino was claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles yesterday.

Aquino, who avoided arbitration by signing a one-year contract with the Brewers just a few days ago. The Brewers had waived Aquino with the hope that he would clear waivers and that they could assign him to AAA Nashville, thereby clearing a spot on the 40-man roster.

In his time in Milwaukee, Aquino amassed an 0-1 record over 15 appearances. He allowed 9 R (7 ER) in 14.0 IP, which equates to a 4.50 ERA. He struck out 12.

Aquino broke camp with the big league club, but was sent back down to the minors after a couple of back-to-back rough outings.
