Brewers to Name Macha Manager
Now that the World Series, and with it the moratorium on announcements, is over, the Milwaukee Brewers have called for a 2pm (CDT) press conference to announce who they have hired as the new manager.
Sources have confirmed that man to be former Oakland Athletics Manager: Ken Macha.
Here is a shot of Ken Macha from his time with the A's. Hopefully this scene will become a familiar one in the Brew City.
Doug Melvin continues to make the right decisions at the managerial position. Macha was far and away the best qualified. Now, with that out of the way and Sveum penciled to return to the Brewer coaching staff, its now time for Melvin and Ash to reconstruct this roster. Making a serious run at Sabathia and listening to offers for Fielder leap to mind.
